I've downloaded filter backups via cPanel - but whenever I try to upload/restore the filter file - nothing happens. I see the contents of the filter file on the screen - but nothing else happens - no filters are restored (either in the ~/.filters file or the /etc/vfilters/ file).

I don't really see an error message anywhere either - so I'm a little mystified..

If I 'gunzip' the filter file - and I try to upload it 'uncompressed' - I get an error in the cPanel logs saying that the file wasn't in 'gzip' format - which is understandable.

    Am I missing something obvious?

Any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.
