    Hello :)

It's not possible to restore a full backup via the cPanel user interface. This is intentionally disabled for security purposes. A full backup can only be restored via Web Host Manager, or via the command line when logged in as root.

    Thank you.

I'm uncertain how this shows the ability to restore a backup via the cPanel interface. Did you watch this video they have there?

It states that a cPanel user cannot restore a full cPanel backup and to ask the host, which corresponds to what Michael stated. It's a security concern to allow a customer to use a full backup to restore via cPanel and can only be done by the root SSH or root-level WHM user.

You can use SFTP or SCP to download the backup files from your server. Remember to use your root login credentials so you can access the location of your backups. Most FTP clients such as FileZilla have an option for SFTP if you prefer to use an application other than the command line.

    Thank you.
