Restore previous backup (New vs Legacy Backup)

Hi,

I recently disabled Legacy Backup on my server as I assumed it was called "legacy" because it would be phased out eventually. I enabled the new backup system and configured it for multiple daily and monthly backup retention. It seems to be doing that properly.

The catch is that previously under Legacy, a customer could log into their account using cPanel and select to download a Daily, Weekly, or Monthly backup to their local hard drive from the server. That selection seems to be gone from the new system. Even though daily and monthly backups exist for a particular user, logging into their cPanel interface does not allow them to download a daily or monthly backup.

Is there an option to enable this some place or is this a feature from Legacy that is simply no longer available under the new backup system?

Thanks for the quick reply. I read through that thread and saw that someone else noticed the same shortcoming, but I couldn't see a response that said it was possible or that the download feature existed in the new system as it did in the old system.

They mentioned request #70169. How can I get to that thread to add my +1 for this enhancement?

You can't, that's an internal case number. I've linked you to that thread/specific reply to let you know that it has been mentioned, and something is being done to satisfy this.

Here is my reply from that thread:

I received information on case 70169 that it's the intended behavior in cPanel 11.38 that system backups are not available in the cPanel UI when using the new backup system. There are plans to include this feature in cPanel 11.40, but in the meantime, the use of the legacy backup system is required if you want system backups available in the cPanel UI.
