    Hi,

I'm wanting to do a full backup of an account on my server and then restore it to a different account on the same server.
    How can I do this?

    Thanks in advance

just login through ssh and then either copy the data from one users folder to another or tar one folder and untar in another folder.

but you have to have both accounts created first.

    Hi odsdc,

You can get a full backup of an account using that account's Cpanel.
You should use /scripts/restorepkg to unpack full backups.

    Ex:) /scripts/restorepkg username

The steps to restore account from full backup:
    1) Untar the backup_<date>_<unknown>_<user>.tar.gz in your home directory
    2) Rename the directory backup_<date>_unknown>_<user> to cpmove-<user>
    3) Run /scripts/restorepkg username

The script will create the user if it dosen't exists and overwrite if present.

    Regards,

    Bright:)
