I have an issue that I have been trying to resolve for the last two weeks. One of my accounts can't be restored as the

I want to restore one of my sites to an earlier backup shown in the cPanel.

Can you please advise how that can be done as I tried to go to backups --- Account Backups I downloaded the one on Jan 16 then after that I went to Backup Wizard and clicked on Restore ----- My SQL and uploaded the file I downloaded it seems it is not working.

Can you please correct me if I am doing it right or wrong? As contacted contabo but they couldn't resolve it and they referred me to you guys

I did as they said doing the restore through WHM Backup --- > restore backup choose from the calendar Jan 1st it restores files but not MySQL and didn’t bring the site to how it was in Jan 1

What i want is to restore my site to how it used to be on Jan 1, 2021

The restore in the backup seems that it doesn't have MySQL

Regards;

Hey there! I'm sorry to hear about these issues with the site. It's possible there were MySQL issues on the machine before that backup that you'd like to restore.

If you manually unzip one of the backup files do you see content in the mysql directory?

You can always submit a ticket to our team and we'd be happy to check the backup data for you on our side. Just post the ticket number here so I can follow along and keep everyone updated.

Thanks for the details. If there is no data in the /mysql directory inside the user backup, there wouldn't be any data for the cPanel tools to restore, so you may just be seeing things working as intended.

It seems our team hasn't been able to login to the ticket yet to confirm this behavior as we don't have SSH access working, so if you could check the last message we sent and then update the access we can take a look.
