Alright so a couple of days ago my old hd decided to go crazy.. luckily most of the data was recovered and no real damage (other then minor downtime) was down. However since I restored all my accounts from the old hd I now have permission errors. For example, changing passwords for e-mail accounts gives me an "unable to change due to permissions" error.

Any ideas? Is there a script that can be run to fix the permissions?

you might try /scripts/mailperm could fix some things. But I have a feeling it's the /etc directory permissions
