restoring deleted www folder???

    whats the correct way to restore the www folder in someones account via ssh

    I know how to create it and chmod it to 777 but how do i symlink it to public_html??? and give it the users ownership

    The www isn't a folder, it's a symlink.

    Go to the users directory,
    cd /home/username
    remove the www folder,
    rm www
    then create the symlink,
    ln -s public_html www
    chown username:username www


    all done
