    Hi all

I want to set up a reseller account in WHM so that they are able to oversell, but only say 2x or 3x their disk space and bandwidth limits.

I can see how to set up overselling, but I don't want them to be able to oversell indefinitely.

    For example
    Simple Reseller Package:
10,000 mb disk space & 100,000 mb bandwidth

Reseller then sells packages with 1,000 mb disk space & 10,000 mb bandwidth
No overselling would allow just 10 to be sold
Overselling would allow many more providing his customers only use a small amount each.
If I could restrict it to 2x overselling, then he'd only be able to sell 20 of these packages, and if I restricted it to 3x overselling he'd be able to sell 30 packages (as long as his customers don't use all their allocation that is)

I have seen this done, but I can't see how.

    Any ideas please?

What you are asking for is not possible. Either you allow owerselling or you do not. If you do not allow owerselling then your resellers will be able to make as much accounts as their resorts will allow them. If you allow owerselling then they will be able to make as much account as long as they will have enough resorses. If you allow owerselling then make shore that you also check "Limit Accounts that username can create by Resource Usage" or your resellers will be able to go ower their resorses.

    Regards, Erik

    Thank you Erik.

I've seen it done on other sites, but they could have written their own scripts to do this I guess.

use your settings in reseller center

check this box "Limit Accounts that username can create by Resource Usage"
and in the box below to the right "Resource Usage" untick overselling allowed

    in the feature Feature Limits

untick all of the features that have "WARNING" in them

    done

I think what you want is in Reseller center > Edit Privileges/Nameservers in WHM.

    Thank you guys,

I want to be able to allow overselling, but restrict it to say two times their bandwidth and diskspace allowance.
Is this right for what I want? How can I make them able to oversell to say 3 times their bandwidth and diskspace allowance.
