Retrieving emails after reaching quota

    Hi cPanel,

    I was just curious, some users reach their quota and then make space (or I increase it), are they able to retrieve the emails that were sent to them in the time between reaching the quota and room being made for their account?

    Is a bounce email sent out or are the emails 'held' and sent to them within 48hours after making space?

    Hello :)

    This is controlled by the following option under the "Mail" tab in "WHM >> Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Manager"

    "Reject mail for users over quota"

    If this option is enabled, email is rejected at SMTP time for users who have exceeded their quota rather than keeping it in the queue.
