Hello kinda new guy here.

I'm having the typical warning in Mx toolbox "Reverse DNS does not match SMTP Banner" With the exception that from my understanding... It actually does match>

I have no problem in listing my actual domain and mailserver hostnames/IPs>

<redacted>

From what I can see... the SMTP Banner, PTR, and Hostname all match correctly.... If so.. Why do I keep getting the warning at MX toolbox?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Hey there! I checked the domains and IP addresses you provided, and I also didn't see an obvious issue with the reverse DNS configuration. I'm wondering if there is a problem with MXToolbox reaching your system or IP address for some reason.

If you're not having problems with email being bounced and aren't experiencing other issues, I'd be inclined to leave things as they are.

That's the problem... our emails are being sent to spam by many receiving servers inside the outlook/microsoft/o365 ecosystem. It seems microsofts EOP is flagging our emails as spam but no reason is shown in the headers so that we may "solve" whatever they are flagging. I'm trying to fix as much as I can and it just seems weird to me that MX toolbox is marking my server as not having the correct reverse record or not matching the SMTP banner.

Are there any other options or advice that I may follow to increase my EOP or SCL level when sendin emails to microsoft/domains? They don't "officially" share how their systems flag messages so this is somewhere I would need advice from people with more experience or years in the field.

Thanks!
