    Hello,

My server seems to be constantly timing out while uploading files through ftp. It either timesout or it terminates the connection.

I have both apf software firewall, and i have a hardware firewall. I've tried restarting the ftp server, and even reinstalling the ftp server but i'm still having the same issue. I've even tried uploading from a computer at a different location, but still have the same issue.

Basically about 5-10 files upload and then the ftp server either times out, or closes the connection. The files are php files about 20kb or so. I disabled apf, but the issue is still happening. Not really sure what to do. Could this be a hardware issue?

Thank you in advance for any and all replies.

Okay now in several folders that i've tried uploading, there is files that look like this: .pureftpd-upload.4341b244.15.35cb.bff0e961 inside the folder on the server. The file is 0kb.

    Try this

    Hey guys,
I was having a similar error quite a while ago. There was only one person on the planet who could help me and by gosh it worked.
Check out this from the Fedora Mailing List, (this is the response he gave me however hopefully it might work for you too). Let me know if it works.
    Cheers
    Stuart

    Go on, have a guess
The forum script only foreshortens the URL text, if you hover over it and subsequently click on it, it still works just fine ;)
