    Hey all,
    WHM 10.0.0 cPanel 10.0.0-R11
    FreeBSD 5.3-RELEASE i386 - WHM X v3.1.0
And WHM complains that RNDC cannot be found.

    storm# rndc status
    number of zones: 4
    debug level: 0
    xfers running: 0
    xfers deferred: 0
    soa queries in progress: 0
    query logging is OFF
    recursive clients: 0/1000
    tcp clients: 0/100
    server is up and running

And yet, when simply adding an A for my hostname..
IP=72.21.55.42 Fatal, neither ndc or rndc was found on this server (storm.prdedicated.com). Add Complete

Whats going on? I've run /scripts/updatenow and /scripts/fixndc, but nothings solving the problem. Please help?

Having the same issue here. This page has some instructions on how to fix the problem but it still didn't work for me: http://support.layeredtech.com/home/index.php?x=&mod_id=2&root=2&id=64

After adding the few lines to rndc.key I run /scripts/fixndc and it gives me the message that it has already been fixed. After running the fixndc script the rndc.key file is empty again.

I was able to resolve my problem and it was a rather simple...somehow I overlooked this. ndc in /usr/sbin was linked to rndc in the same directory and didn't exist. Removed the link and added the link to where rndc is really located /usr/local/sbin/rndc. All is well now.
