Root Access FAQ (s)

hello there. I was hoping i can get a response from any advanced member , CPanel.Net team. I purchased web hosting with Root Access , Dedicated Server so will i be able to instal lmy own modules on the CPanel and my own Scripts in Fantastico and WHM if so can you point me into the right direction on getting new Free (scripts) doesent have to be all of that special scripts needed. also i want to discuss Shell Access. if i disable Shell Access on the Reseller and User Accounts will it be accessible on the reseller accounts if they choose the option ti setup a user account. Its as someone used Shell Access Scripts to take over 20,000 + Websites i know of and all these sites was left at a standstill due to this issue. They managed to created hot pages with some sexy girs on these sites very creative But my host says Shell access will be Active on my Dedicated Server. If i have Root access which i will do can i disable it ? my server will be active in the next 24 hrs i waited 2 days so far its as they said they have to secure the server and istall it for me. They say i got to wait for the Welcome Email which is due in the next 24 hours also. Please can you give me any information on the FAQ's asked thanks much appriciated

Here is an article about enabling su to root. Will give you a starting point for dealing with direct root access. Sounds as if you need to spend some time reading/understanding server security. Best plan is to install security in layers and keep current on updates.

the people im getting the Ded from is installing the Security for the Server. They are also getting it all p and running for me but wont release Welcome Email until the installation and security updates are complete as its Managed! which is good. I may need to learn commands and stuff though yes. Is there also any sites that have lists of Extra Mods to install in CPanel and WHM Thanks.
