    Im wondering how i can update the root.accts file as it appears as though not all the account sin WHM that are setup under root are listed on it

    is there a way to update this and the reseller ones?

    You don't need to worry about that file. I don't know what it's purpose is, but a while back I was watching it while doing testing to try to understand it and even experimented with manual changes. One thing I found out is that it appears to only be a temporary file.

    The /var/cpanel/users/username files are where the owners are recorded and read from.
