    Hello,

When email is sent from our server to the 'real' root email address I get this error:
    Code:
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

    real_email@myemail.net
SMTP error from remote mail server after initial connection:
host mx.myemail.net [XX.XXX.XX.XX]: 550 Too many invalid recipients

it doesn't happen all the time, but has been happening alot lately. Is this a problem from "mx.myemail.net" or is this something that is caused by our server when sending "root" email to my real email address?

    TIA,
    Mickalo

Make sure you have an A record for your hostname in the zone file for the domain that is a subdomain of and that it resolves correctly (i.e. test it from somewhere other than your server.

The error is coming from mx.myemail.net so only the SMTP mail logs on that server will show why it's being rejected.

not sure I follow here. Are you referring to the DNS zone file for the server host name? The server hostname is justlightening.justlightening.net

so there should be a zone file in the /var/named/justlightening.justlightening.net.db or am I missing something here ?

    Thx's
    Mickalo

No. You should have an A record for justlightening in the zone justlightening.net pointing to the main IP address of the server. You should not have a zone for justlightening.justlightening.net and if you have one you should remove it from within WHM.
