    Hello,

I have a problem with email sending from cpanel, i always get the following error:

    Code:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

     info@beexmedia.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<info@beexmedia.com>:
       host beexmedia.com [174.120.8.75]: 550-Verification failed for <root@c69.coder69.com>
550-The mail server could not deliver mail to root@c69.coder69.com. The account or domain may not exist, they may be blacklisted, or missing the proper dns entries.
       550 Sender verify failed

------ This is a copy of the message, including all the headers. ------

I have checked all my mx entries and dns zones aswell as my ptr entry and i cannot figure out why emails are not working.

I asked support from server provider but this clowns at giga-hosting seem not even to understand what i'm talking about.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Regards

The root user on the hostname account does not have an inbox to receive emails. The hostname itself shouldn't be receiving emails as root is typically on the never users list to avoid it getting an influx of spam. Is there a reason you would like to receive emails to root rather than to a legitimate email user on an existing email account?

I dont want to receive emails on root, what i would like is cpanel having notification emails sent, and actually it doesn't...

When cpanel send mail to any adress i get the notification here up.... and offcourse the concerned email doesn't receives nothing.

Yes, I rent the server at Giga-International.com and they are totally unable to help me, always asking for money to take a look and never solve the problem, already lost 1 month exchanging mails and mails with their support and never get help... it's a shame, because the server is quite good.

I think for anyone to help more from here we'd need to know a few more details. This is a bit confusing to try and assist with without knowing all the details of what it is you're doing.

Does that email account actually exist, or is there a cPanel user account with the name info that owns beexmedia.com? If the latter, info will need to create his email address on the account.

Is info@beexmedia.com attempting to forward his email to another server?

Basically, we're discussing an email problem on a server that sounds like it's not configured properly yet. Basic proper server setup is the most important thing to sort out first. Setting up and using email accounts on it, second.

Email info@beexmedia.com exists on another server offcourse... it does not attempt to forward mail nowhere, this is the email that is supposed to receive cpanel notifications, the problem is that cpanel seems to be misconfigured and cannot send mails properly.

The hostname is not listed there is it?

In your WHM find on left menu Networking Setup Section, in it find the Change Hostname and click. What hostname is shown there right now?

Something is not setup correctly, the hostname doesn't come up for me in my browser.
    These look fine: intodns.com/beexmedia.com intodns.com/coder69.com

Have you checked the emails in this section of WHM:

WHM > Server Contacts > Change System Mail Preferences

There are 3 spots here for email, and each must be set one at a time. If these are set correctly, to test, you might change them to some other address like a gmail account for example.

    The error message says:
Lets try it this way, what notification emails are you wanting that are not coming due to these mail issues? From the cPanel user account, or from the server?

    Actual email settings are:

    root's mail: info@beexmedia.com
    nobody's mail: blank
    cpanel's mail: root

    Notifications not being sent are:

1st exemple: when i create a new account, user should receive a mail with server information,
2nd exemple: if i create some new install using fantastico and request an email to be sent with the installation informations those are not sent either

I give here the ptr configuration for this server

    ip-address current PTR-entry
    79.143.177.126 126.177.143.79.coder69.com change
    178.238.231.245 245.231.238.178.coder69.com change
    178.238.231.246 246.231.238.178.coder69.com change
    178.238.231.247 247.231.238.178.coder69.com change

The PTR record isn't setup properly for these IPs:

    Code:
    $ dig -x 79.143.177.126 +short
    126.177.143.79.coder69.com
It should match your hostname and your hostname needs to resolve. Right now, as Infopro mentions, it doesn't resolve. If you dig on a Linux machine, it shows nothing returned:

    Code:
    $ dig +short c69.coder69.com
An example of one returning on dig would be the following:

    Code:
    $ dig +short coder69.com
    79.143.177.126
You would likely want to go to WHM > Change Hostname and go through the entire process of rechanging it to that name. It's possible you've never setup the A record for that hostname in the DNS zone, which is why it isn't resolving.

If you continue to have issues with this, we can help check the settings over and provide further assistance on our support desk. You can open up a ticket in WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature. If you choose to open up a ticket, please post the ticket number here.

I've gone into process and added A entry

Adding A Entry...Bind reloading on c69 using rndc zone: [coder69.com]
    ...Done

A Entry added for c69.coder69.com with address: 79.143.177.126

Great, the IP is now returning for a dig on that hostname:

    Code:
    # dig +short c69.coder69.com
    79.143.177.126
For the PTR record to be fixed for the IP, the other issue I mentioned, you will need to contact your IP provider. Basically, whoever provided the IPs controls the PTR records for those IPs, so they will need to fix the PTR to be c69.coder69.com rather than 126.177.143.79.coder69.com.

Yes emails are now being sent...

For the ptr i have access for their configuration...

We have 4 ip's, what would be the correct entries for them ?

    79.143.177.126
    178.238.231.245
    178.238.231.246
    178.238.231.247

Having access to add the IPs doesn't give IP zone control for those IPs. The IP zones differ from the DNS zones. If you really do have the control for the IP zone (again, entirely different than DNS zones), you would want to ensure to follow this how-to on setting up the PTR records and IP zones (in.addr.arpa zone files):

    Configuring Reverse DNS in WHM

The entries for each IPs for the PTR should be the hostname for the main IP and the main domain for each of the other IPs.
