Root folder problem

Hi,
i deleted "www" directory from my host and i create anew. but when i put some file into this directory or public_html i dont have data in both of them.
i think its not work like Previous deleted "www" directory. it has "earth icon" beside itself like public_html.
is this correct for rebuild "www" directory or not?
