Was wondering how you could make an inbox for the root/main host domain.
For example, Microsofts SND service, spam reports will only suggest mails based on your root domain. Eg: [email protected] / [email protected]

Currently mails send to these addresses get bounced with a "550 You do not have sufficient privileges to send mail to this address. Please authenticate and try again."

How do you go about this?

Hi @Martin Hinrichsen

We have a couple of other threads on this that might be of interest to you:

receiving mail at [email protected]
Receiving spam to [email protected]

In the case of the second thread if you did set up a system filter you would want to ensure it was set up to be a forwarder not a block on the email.
Thank you for your answer, I have looked through the 2 posts, but I am still a little confused. Where do I set this filter? Do I need to make an account for the root domain "host.domain.com" in order to set a global filter in cPanel, or can I set a filter from WHM or from the console?
