Has anyone had any success with the RoR in CURRENT yet. We are able to get it to create the apps and it will setup the redirects and it seems to start the app.

When we attempt to delete the app however, it says its deleted but it remains in the site and the same with any redirects we setup.

Also when we setup a redirect, we get a connection timed out on the resulting page.

Are you (or your customer) using a custom app, or one I can download and test?

let me know and I'll do some testing on this today.

Alright, so it's more a problem with the basic functionality.

seems like it. I created a test app and it creates the directory structure in public_html/test -> ok.

I setup the redirect http://xxx.com:12001 -> /test but the url still points to xxx.com:12001

If i delete the app with cPanel, it says its deleted but the app remains in the test folder and if i delete the redirect, that also remains in the htaccess file.

It may even be a problem with mongrel? after starting the app i didnt notice any processes running for the mongrel server, but again, i dont really use ror so thats more of a guess.

Anything show up in the cPanel error log when you create/delete an app? What about when you attempt to start/stop the app.

Nothing in the cPanel log, but, i can see the mongrel process running.

therewrite rule created looks like this:
    Code:
    RewriteEngine on
    #AddHandler fcgid-script .htmlRewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mtech-hosting.com$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.mtech-hosting.com$
    RewriteRule ^test http://127.0.0.1:12001%{REQUEST_URI} [P,QSA,L]

I have noticed there is an odd behaviour when setting up a redirect to an application. If you are pointing a subfolder to a rails application e.g. www.domain.com/my_rails_app this will get redirect to 127.0.0.1:12001/my_rails_app. Surely this is incorrect, you are then not pointing to a rails application, you are pointing to a specific controller of a rails application. www.domain.com/my_rails_app should point directly to the root of the rails application at 127.0.0.1:12001.
