So I recently upgraded mysql because the recent cpanel update forced me to. I had problems with that at the start, but these since have been resolved. Now today I decide to log into my webmail (we use roundcube) and I get a database error. Upon further research it seems to be related to innodb, problem is it seems is that it is disabled. I tried checking my.cnf for it being skipped, it is not. When I check what engine are available(on?) in mysql I don't even see innodb. When I run 'mysqladmin variables | grep have_innodb' I get it saying its disabled.

    Please any help appreciated,
    Michael Snape.

    Hello,

Please review the /var/lib/mysql/$HOSTNAME.err file. (replace $HOSTNAME with your actual hostname).
It should tell you why the InnoDB engine failed to load.
