RoundCube Emails Greyed out (Not deleted)

Hi,

One of my clients deleted emails on RoundCube and the emails are just Greyed out (not removed), please help me out with how can I remove all the greyed out emails.

I have attached the screenshot of settings.

Enable "Compact inbox on logout, and then logout.

You can also run this from the shell:

doveadm -v purge -u [email protected]

Also, worth noting that the server will eventually do this automatically with cronjobs that run the dovecot maintenance.

I'm a little bit confused here, please correct me.

isn't this command " doveadm -v purge -u [email protected] " used to remove all of the data?

and also let me know after enabling compact only greyed out emails will be removed or all emails will remove?

Greyed out means the email is marked as deleted, but hasn't been removed from the mail storage index / files yet.

Compact on Logout is meant to handle this. Removing the deleted messages fully. The purge command will not remove all emails. It will remove messages marked as deleted and compact the storage files for the mailbox.
