RPM\'s Gone Bad

I am having alot of problems with my package RPMs. one i dont know what they are but I think I hate them grin not really just think if mine where working right I would not be getting messages like
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm
error: cannot open Packages database in /var/lib/rpm

I have been told I need to reinstall my software but from what I know there is a lot of software on my server and I dont know witch to reinstall and how to go about this.. any help would be great.. I cant use about 50% of my WHM

Having the same exact problem. Did you guys ever get assistance with this?

Copy the contents of /var/lib/rpm from a similar server and overwrite everything on the fux0red machine with that .... probably your last hope unless you want to completely wack all the RPMs on the machine in question and start from scratch.

rpm --rebuilddb should probably fix this.
