I was having issues getting sysup to work so I did as specified in another thread:

    export LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.2.5
    rpm --rebuilddb
    rpm --initdb

However, now when upcp and sysup runs I get:
    the "rpmdb open failed" message.

    Anyone got any ideas?

And there are no headers in the WHM version of "INstall Software" which I think is BAD..

for rpmdb problems do the following:

    # rm -fr /var/lib/rpm/__*
    # rpm --rebuilddb

That'll rebuild the rpmdb and get the rpm in working order.
