    Hi all,

I would like to rsync a directory from a server to the same directory in the other server via ssh. The problem here is, ssh is hardened in both of the servers and the user used in ssh has no access to the directory to be rsynced. Can anyone please tell me how can I perform the rsync without disabling the ssh hardening?

You can use root to rsync out of it, or make another user with permissions to it.

As for making it do it automatically, you can setup static certificates.

This tutorial has the secure recipe for doing this http://www.jdmz.net/ssh/
