I'm hoping some Ruby + cPanel veterans will be able to help me with a few questions. We are currently hosting 80+ clients on a dedicated server with cPanel. Most of our sites are heavy PHP and MySQL and use a CMS. We are considering making a switch to Ruby on Rails, but we want to make sure we know what we're getting into. As the Sys Admin, I want to make sure we can support a large number of hosts running Ruby with a modest server configuration.

Do you use Ruby on Rails with cPanel?
How many RoR sites are you hosting?
What kinds of load issues have you encountered?
Do you have any pointers or sources for good information?
Do you host only or do you also develop RoR web sites for your clients?
Do you think a cPanel host makes a good development/production environment for Ruby apps?

If you can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Leonard Smith
