I've been trying to get Ruby on Rails to run on my server, I can create the app fine but when it comes to starting it, it just doesn't happen.

After clicking "Run" it says "The following Ruby on Rails application was started: blog" however when I go back to the previous page that lists the apps, the status for the app I just started says "Not Running".

I've searched Google and these forums and can't find anything.

Just to confirm, the application is indeed running, correct? Or is the application not starting?

I've the same issue, and the app is not running.
Please monitor the mongrel log of the specific Ruby on Rails application for details while attempting to start and stop via cPanel.

Via SSH access, the following example command will monitor output from a mongrel log file, where the RoR application is named "test" stored within a parent directory path of "rails_apps" that is relative to the home directory path of an account with a username of "username":
Code:
tail -fvn0 /home/username/rails_apps/test/log/mongrel.log
By providing the log detail this will help determine possible causes if there is difficulty with the application starting via mongrel.
