    Hi,

I know that ruby is now supposed to be included in cpanel and I have run /scripts/installruby. What else do I need to do to get this to work ? It doesnt show up in the customers cpanel - only the Ruby gems option is there.

    WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.6.0-R15076

cPanel 11 Stage 2 (currently in the most recent RELEASE build) does have improved RoR functionality compared to Stage 1. I'd recommend updating to the latest RELEASE build so you can have all the RoR functionality we offer at this time.

My mistake, I assumed that it was the latest build because that server is set to auto update. It turns out that there was a stuck upcp process hanging around form 2 weeks ago preventing any updates.

I've updated and now the icon appears in cpanel.

Can you tell me what port(s) I need to open on the firewall for this ?

If you are using mod_Proxy (the default implementation of RoR on cPanel/WHM), no additional ports should need to be opened to the outside Internet etc.

You may be already aware of this, but there's a FAQ entry that contains a list of all the ports that need to be opened to the outside Internet when using cPanel/WHM: http://faq.cpanel.net/show.cgi?qa=104689180407630
