rule set but where

    hello. i cannot connect to one of my sites and in the error log, it says "[client xx.xxx.xxx.xxx] Directory index forbidden by rule: /home/domain/public_html/"

    now i haven't set any rules so where do i start troubleshooting this? many thanks

    WHM 11.23.2 cPanel 11.23.3-S25971
    CENTOS Enterprise 4.6 i686 on standard - WHM X v3.1.0

    You might start by looking in this account for an .htaccess and see what it contains.

    @infopro. there is nothing in there that would be causing this. just denied ip's of which mine is not there. should i be looking for something in particular? you may have guessed i am new to this :)

    @infopro. thanks for link. what i did to get it running was to do a system restore on my LOCAL XP pc. how that affects what is on my dedicated server, god only knows. go figure eh? many thanks for your help.

    Maybe you have mod_security installed and set any rule that affected the way your internet explorer opened that particular website......
