Hi, I used the site map generator offered by Google. I've uploaded the resulting xml file and python sitemap_gen code to my root directory. I'm now supposed to run this code in order to generate the actual sitemap file. So my question is ... how do I call up a command line and do that?

    Appreciate any help,
    rimanning

The best way to do this is by running a cron job, which you can create from your cPanel. The command can be run via SSH as well but it would need to be done manually so it's easy to just do a cron.

Once you have your timing set, use the command that Google gave you, in respect to where the sitemap files are located on the server:

    python /path/to/sitemap_gen.py --config=/path/to/example_config.xml

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
