Is it safe to edit /var/spool/cron/root and put my crons in there or will the file be overwritten by cPanel/WHM? If the answer is yes where should I write my cron jobs?

    Thank you

Yes, you can put crons in under /etc/cron.d | /etc/cron.daily/ | /etc/cron.weekly/ etc. But check your scheduled cron time.

    Hello,

Custom root cron jobs added to /var/spool/cron/root are not overwritten by cPanel.

    Thank you.
