Scanning for spam AFTER mail is in inbox

Hi all,

I'm migrating a huge amount of mail from one server to another. What I'm seeing is that a lot of the users for this account have tens of thousands of messages in their mailboxes that are extremely spammy. It would be wonderful if I could run any sort of spam filtering utility to sort spam into the junk mail filter so it can be easily deleted, rather than migrating years and years of junk mail to the new server.

Has anyone done this before, or have you any ideas about how (if) this can be done?

The spam scanning that takes places occurs when mail is accepted to the server so it wouldn't be able to scan mail this way that is already existing on the server. You could manually feed it messages potentially: spamassassin - simple front-end filtering script for SpamAssassin
