So after the new cPanel update, I've noticed that the /scripts/chpass script that I'ved used multiple times in the past is no longer working? The following message is being thrown.

    Code:
    ERROR: /usr/local/cpanel/scripts/realchpass
    Invocation changes only the system
password and does not have any effect
on other services associated with your
    cPanel account, including FTP, SSH,
WebDAV, and FrontPage. It is strongly
encouraged for you to change the
password via the WHM & cPanel
interface. You can force a password
change through this script by setting
    the environment variable
    'ALLOW_PASSWORD_CHANGE=1'.
Never got that before and never encountered an issue when using the script to change the root or cpanel password. Any ideas?

I think it is better to open support ticket with cPanel.

    Hello,

Here is how you can fix this script:

    Code:
    export ALLOW_PASSWORD_CHANGE=1
    and then execute the script.

Usually it's recomanded to change mysql password too... so use this script after that:

    Code:
    /scripts/mysqlpasswd username password
