Hi. can any one help me.

    I'm running
    cPanel 11.24.4-R33609 - WHM 11.24.2 - X 3.9
    CENTOS 5.2 i686
    Software Raid 1

I got an email from ldf about log file flooding
A quick tail -f showed this:

    root@server [~]# tail -f /var/log/messages
Feb 16 22:55:35 server kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
    Feb 16 22:55:35 server kernel: sda3: rw=0, want=288277120, limit=288238230
Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
    Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: sda3: rw=0, want=288277152, limit=288238230
Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
    Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: sda3: rw=0, want=288277056, limit=288238230
Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device
    Feb 16 22:55:36 server kernel: sda3: rw=0, want=288277088, limit=288238230

My isp changed the drive and ran fsck but the error is still there.

This server was just rebuilt with new hardware because of previous file system errors, drive errors, /tmpDSK randomly going read-only etc.

They can restore to an old bakup but i fear the error will still be there and I'll just end up with more downtime on this production server for nothing.

I have another identical server hosted there and it runs flawlessly.

Does anyone have any idea what is causing this?

    From my isp:

"... What makes it even more strange is the following:

    root@server [/proc]# blockdev --report /dev/sda
RO RA SSZ BSZ StartSec Size Device
    rw 256 512 4096 0 292947968 /dev/sda
    root@server [/proc]#

attempt to access beyond end of device
    sda3: rw=0, want=288286048, limit=288238230 ..."

Are you sure both drives in that RAID 1 are identical?
