Hi,

(I am very new to this)

I have had one domain for a while now (with a working website), and I just recently got another domain (not working). I bought both of the domains through GoDaddy and I have the unlimited domains hosting plan. Also, I use Dreamweaver.

1. I added my new domain to cPanel
2. I created a folder in public_html/ for my new domain
3. I updated the domain's path for that folder
4. I set up the remote server in DreamWeaver the same way I set up my working website

When I go to my new domain it doesn't load.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've spent many hours working on this.

Thanks

Hey there! What you'll most likely want to do is delete the content you've uploaded in public_html and then use the cPanel >> Addon Domain tool to create a separate domain on your cPanel account. If the DNS has been setup to point to the same IP address as your main domain, this is the correct way to host two sites on the same account.

Can you try that and see if you get better results? You can find additional details about addon domains here: Addon Domains | cPanel & WHM Documentation

I already have an add-on domain for my newest domain, but I will delete it and remake it. Thank you

EDIT: When I go to do this, it says 'Are you sure you wish to permanently remove the addon domain “____________.com”?'

Will I not be able to add it on again after I delete it?

I removed all files from public_html/, deleted my add-on domain, re-added the add-on domain, made sure all the files went in the correct places, and I still don't see my website.

What should I try now?

EDIT:
I'm going to try and make a separate FTP account for it.

Is your site not working at all or is it not loading only on your PC? I think that you should check the site through a special service to understand the problem is local or global. Most likely, you have made some mistakes in the files or folders of the site. It is possible that the problem is on the hosting side.

@cPRex the error is "Safari Can't Find the Server"

@Draxer The site is not working at all (when I ran the linked website, it showed "93 Fail 0 Ok"). I've literally checked the files names and file locations and folder names more than 10 times. There's no issue there.

There were quite a few errors. Mismatched NS records, Multiple Nameservers, Missing nameservers reported by your nameservers, MX Records, WWW A Record

I don't know what those mean or how to fix them

(and SOA Serial is yellow)

When you registered the domain you would have also needed to assign it nameservers. Did you make sure all that is in place? You may want to check with the registrar to ensure the domain is properly setup and using the correct nameservers since it sounds like there are DNS issues right at the start from the registrar level.

That would be a question for GoDaddy. Since you don't have your own custom nameservers on the machine (as you don't have root access) you'd need to confirm with them how the domain should be setup to get it to point to your account. That's not something I'd have a way to know on my end, and not something we could guide you into looking up.

Hmm... I'm not sure what I did, but it worked!

I added "Glue for NS records" and now my website is showing! (not sure if it's related tho)

Thank you so very much, I would still be lost without your help.
