Secure FTP

    Do linux servers support sftp (Secure FTP) ?

    Yes, if it's installed and enabled. If you're asking about cPanel on Linux, then yes they do support it, but you o have to enable an SSH shell for the cPanel accounts for it to work. If you don't want to allow actual SSH access with SFTP, then there are a few login shell binaries that you can use to block that (rssh being one).
