Hi,

I have just setup another server with WHM/cPanel, one thing i've noticed when going to accounts' cPanel it gives a certificate error.

If i go to www.domain.com/cpanel, i'll get an error:

Safari can't verify the identity of the website "servername.domain.com"

The certificate for this website is invalid. You might be connecting to a website that is pretending to be "servername.domain.com", which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the website anyway?
Clicking continue then redirects the user to https://servername.domain.com:2083

After this point it all works fine and from what i can see it redirects to https which is better anyway? But i'm slightly concerned it could worry clients and it's one of those extra clicks that can be avoided.

What is the best way to resolve this, thanks.

Hello :)

It's normal to see this message when accessing cPanel/WHM/Webmail over a domain name other than the one used for the SSL certificate of the service. The service SSL certificate for cPanel/WHM/Webmail is installed via:

"WHM Home » Service Configuration » Manage Service SSL Certificates"

You can update the redirection settings under the "Redirection" tab in "WHM Home » Server Configuration » Tweak Settings" so that requests are redirected to the SSL certificate name when customers attempt to access the service.

Thank you.
