This is an error which i receive while opening all SSL connections with my website...
I understand the problem...Its because the certificate is generated on my hostname and my browser tries to match it with the website requested....
but can't it be rectified any how??

Do you have the domain on aits own IP address? SSL certs will only work on a single IP address per domain, not on a shared IP if another domain has a cert on it.

    Host Name: engine.domain.com
    Main site : domain.com
    Subdomains:
    one.domain.com
    two.domain.com
    three.domain.com ...etc

Can't the certificate generated by the hostname, be used for the subdomains and the main site??

NNot unless you purchase a wild-card certificate from a cert provider, no.
