    hi

i'm planning to have my own dedicated server in the datacenter.
now i have more than 3 dedicatedservers on managed hosting company , so i'm used to using WHM .

but , i'm really care about security for my new server, because i've never managed by myself yet.
i just want to know if i choose WHM for control panel on my server , i don have to care for security so much about upgrading module, software , and so on right?

logging into WHM , when some security issue occur , i always see message for fixing it.
that's why i thought i don have to care for security to my new server.
all i have to care is hardware problem right?

if not ,please tell me what i have to care for security.

    thanks

    toshi

Unless it is managed you have to care for security.

WHM does not a server admin make.

That helps but it does not make anyone a SysAdmin nor does it guarantee that they are safe. Again it helps but you still have to know how to troubleshoot and admin a server.

If I read the post correctly, I don't believe he was asking how to become a SysAdmin or troubleshoot problems.
