Hi, I have 2 VPS from different hosting provider both running WHM/cPanel.

1. VPS A is in US with IP x.x.x.100
2. VPS B is in Asia with IP x.x.x.200

May I know if it is possible to setup WHM/cPanel so that all the domains across both VPS only send email via through 1 VPS?
Eg,
- all domains on VPS A & VPS B emails are to be sent via VPS B.

Can advise what should be done is the above is possible?

Thanks.

Hey there! It might be easiest to setup VPS B as a smarthost of VPS A. We have some more details on doing this with third-party servers here:

so you could likely modify those instructions to work with a cPanel server as well.

Thanks cPRex.

Does that also mean that, without subscribing to 3rd party Smarthost or Reconfigure my VPS, my current VPS running (cPanel/WHM) purely hosting Web/Email can also be use as a SmartHost for another VPS also hosting WEB/Email in another geographic location by following the instructions in "How to Setup a SmartHost SMTP relay with cPanel"

Yes - those instructions *may* not be enough to get a cPanel -> cPanel configuration working properly, but I know it has been done by other users. If you run into trouble, make another post and we'll see if we can help.
Hi cPRex, Thanks for your reply. Appreciated :).

Appreciate if you able to provide me a link to some typical or standard "guide/documentation" on how to configure cPanel to allow an existing VPS "B" (cPanel/WHM) that is currently hosting WEB/EMail to be able to become a Smarthost SMTP Relay for another cPanel/WHM VPS "A" to use?

Thanks in Advance. :)

Thanks cPRex. OK, Noted. Will try to figure out how to do it.

By the way, coming back to my initial plan of having to have 2 VPSes located in 2 different geographic location to send via 1 of the VPSes, beside using SMARTHOST SMTP Relay which you suggested, what are the other options?

Can you advise?
Thanks.

I don't know of another way off the top of my head. Now that I've thought about this for a bit, it may actually be easier to have both of the machines send through one third-party smarthost, as that would ensure mail doesn't get marked as spam or flagged for any other reasons, although that would incur an additional cost.

Either way, there's a way to get it working with any configuration you choose, it's just not something that is directly supported on our end.
