Send mail not working

I recently installed WHM/cPanel in a VPS with CentOS, a few days.

I created cPanel accounts and it looks like working. But, the email accounts created by these accounts can receive email, but can't send email. I look to Mail Queue Manager and all emails are there. I click "Deliver Now" but page just keep loading and nothing happens.

What could be wrong?

Could you provide the error message that is showing when you try to deliver one of these emails? Otherwise, run an exigrep on one of the emails to provide the error message:

Code:
exigrep [email protected] /var/log/exim_mainlog
Where [email protected] is the email address you are sending to or from. Pick only the messages that are failing to show the return for the exigrep as they have to have some sort of error message.

Thanks for helping me.

[email protected] is the email created and [email protected] is the destination mailbox.

Code:
[email protected] [~]# exigrep [email protected] /var/log/exim_mainlog

The posts were moderated and that's why they weren't appearing. The reason the emails aren't delivering is that the connection is timing out. Can you paste the contents of your /etc/resolv.conf file?

Code:
cat /etc/resolv.conf
Next, can you try running exim -bt on one of the hotmail addresses:

Code:
Replace emailuser with the actual email address part before the @hotmail part.

Thanks for all... I paid a little tax to the server host team and someone adjust config. I just know that he changed these followings files:

exim.conf (add a line "system_filter=/etc/cpanel_exim_system_filter")
local.domains (added ns1 and ns2 DNS servers and deleted main "myresellerdomain.com")
remote.domains (was empty, he added domains)

I don't know if he changed some more things, but now its working.

The stucked messages were send.

I BATTLED with this issue. I eventually found the solution. I turned off iptables and disabled the CSF firewall. I put the firewall into a medium security setting (was on high) and it immediately started working again.

Sending mails without any issues now....whew!

SciFiGuy, thanks for the tip. But I'm very noob... How to turn off iptables and firewall? Inside WHM options? Through ftp client? In serial console?

Are you running CSF? If so, you'll see a link in WHM > Plugins > ConfigServer Security & Firewall option. You'd select to disable the firewall there (a button should be there for that option).

Otherwise, you can try flushing the firewall in command line:

Code:
/sbin/iptables -F
That wouldn't keep the firewall cleared of rules, though, since a server restart or iptables restart will bring the previous rules back. The point of temporarily flushing the rules would be to see if it is causing the issue.
