I have struggled with finding a solution to the email issues (POP3 before SMTP Authentication) where the larger isp's like some of the aol servers and roadrunner for example bounce the email back, which I was told by my NOC are rectified by sending email through exim, but that appeared to be easier said than done.

I have found two different locations that files from both helped me to solve this issue, first place being:

    Second place being:

I have attached a zip file with all the necessary files to make this work on WHM/CPanel, all the files except for pop3_before_smtp_test.php need to go into the php path, in the case of my server(should be all) /usr/lib/php and the other file is an example script to show how it is done.

Works with PHP version 4.3.0 and higher and could also be installed in the php path for an account if the administrator wont add it for all.

Just thought I would pass this along....I think all WHM/CPanel servers should have this installed as a standard, sure would have helped me tremendously.
