    Trophy Points:

I am about to setup my first customer account with a custom IP on my VPS. I want to set the option in WHM > Service Configuration > Exim Config Editor > Domains and IPs :

Automatically send outgoing mail from the account's IP address instead of the main IP address.

Now, I assume this will affect email sent via exim from normal authenticated smtp connections (i.e. my punters using their email proggy of choice).

Will it also affect any mail sent via the PHP mail() function?

Can anyone confirm what the default HELO name will be if, for example, the customer account main domain is I ask this because I need to get the PTR record set-up, and would like to get that sorted at the same time as ordering the IP.

    Cheers for any help.
