I am hosting another site on the same server as my own site. These two sites were transfered via whm with root access. The other site has a remote mx server. I have tried all options in Edit MX entry including "Remote Mail Exchanger." For some reason I can not send an email to the other site

The MX Entries are as follows:
    Priority --- Destination
    0 --- othersite.com
    10 ---- mxserver.othersite.com

The result on "Email Address Trace" from mydomain.com is: lookuphost via lookuphost.

If I change The MX Entries are as follows:
    Priority --- Destination
    10 ---- mxserver.othersite.com

The "Email address Trace" result is: fail_remote_domains via DNS lookup of mxserver.othersite.com (A) gave HOST_NOT_FOUND

I have checked /etc/localdomains are /remotedomains. They seem to be in order.

    Please help.

By the way, the two sites were transffered from two different servers into one. So, it used to work when they were in different servers. But, now that they're in one server, I can no longer send an email to anyone@othersite.com

Just wanted to add one more tip. If the account on the same server created has the MX as:

    othersite.com. MX 0 othersite.com.
    change it to:

    othersite.com. MX 0 mail.othersite.com.
    Then add:
    mail A xx.xx.xx.xx

Again, I really hope this helps someone. It took me a few days of research to figure this out until I got to a "DUH!" moment.
