    We just recently got a new server with MailScanner installed. We are having trouble sending mail from the server to an offsite e-mail address. For example when I type:

    The exim_mainlog will report:

    How can I get the mail to be delivered to the offsite e-mail address? Is there something wrong with the MailScanner configuration? I've never used MailScanner before so I am not familiar with its configuration.

    Thanks

    Go on, have a guess
    Is MailScanner actually running?
    Do you have the following line at the top of /etc/exim.conf and /etc/exim_outgoing.conf?

    queue_only_override = false

    If not, MailScanner has not been installed correctly.
    Do you actually have an /etc/exim_outgoing.conf?

    It's difficult to help identify exactly where the problem might without actually looking, but I would suspect it's the exim directive I mentioned.
