    Is anyone aware of this.
    Click Here

    Apparently a bug in Sendmail that will allow a user to gain Root access.... In my books this is not good.

    You may say that but you guys provided us with a server that does have sendmail and we do use sendmail occassionally.. Therefore, there are people using Cpanel that are affected and should be concerned.. And even if you don't use sendmail, if it is -even on- the server at all you are still possibly vulnerable.

    The sendmail binary is not on any of my cpanel servers, not a single one. While there are customers who call sendmail in their scripts what they actually use is exim:

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 Feb 15 01:44 /usr/sbin/sendmail -> exim*

    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Feb 15 01:44 /usr/lib/sendmail -> ../sbin/exim*

    so...fix it.

    It ain't included with cpanel. It ain't cpanel's job to fix it.

    That's why they pay you the big bucks to be an 'admin'. :D
