    Hey folks,

I just setup a server for a client who has an optin mailing list of over 1million. Its a Cpanel server with sendmail, he is the only client on this server.

He tried a mailing last night, so far its taken 17 hours to mail out 20,000.

Any suggestions on what I can do/check/change to speed this up? It should be going out much faster than this.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

I have a dual sendmail setup (one handling the incoming queue and one the outgoing queue) with AMaViSd-new (using F-Prot for antivirus), SpamAssassin and blacklist checks
    FEATURE(`dnsbl',`relays.ordb.org')dnl
    FEATURE(`dnsbl',`list.dsbl.org')dnl
    FEATURE(`dnsbl',`bl.spamcop.net')dnl
    FEATURE(`dnsbl',`sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org')dnl
    FEATURE(`dnsbl',`multihop.dsbl.org')dnl
and in the last test it took 7 hours to process around 7350 e-mails, and this happened on a Intel Celeron (Coppermine) at 600MHz with 256RAM.

Unless you are also using a PIII at around 600MHz... it should go faster.
What setup do you have, what do you use for AntiVirus? MailScanner?
