Currently I have 1 server hosting a site that handles both http and mysql. I would like to separate them so that 1 server handles http, the other (new server) handles mysql. Both server has cpanel installed.

    Here's what I tried:
    1) Backup database, copy into new (mysql only) server.
    2) Create a same user/pass for db access on the new server.
    3) changes scripts to instead of say 'localhost', say the new mysql server IP

Apparently after a day of functioning, it just broke down. First there was:

Now, any pages with mysql use will not load.

So here I am, asking is there any correct way of doing this via WHM or anything I'm doing wrong?
