Separate Webserver and Mailserver Problem

    I have client with unusual need :

    He has a mail server on his office and also active domain with DNS Server on his office. NS1 and NS2 of his domain pointed to his server.

    Then he apply for hosting account on my server. All he need only hosting space for his website. All mail function run from his server that using "mail.hisdomain.com"

    What configuration on my side and his side that must be created ?

    Dear isputra,

    You need to set the IP for mail in the dns zone to his local IP. Please remove the domain name from the list in /etc/localdomains.

    Then you need to set his dns to point the domain to the IP which you set his account up on the server.
