    Hi,

My server broke and so I have had a new HDD installed. The old one is hooked up and im trying to restore everything using the old hdd. Iv managed to restore all of the mysql db's ok but what is the best way to have all of the accounts re-added - hopefully i wont have to re-add them manually.

The accoutns aren[t backups they are exact coppies from the old /home folder.

    Thanks!

    Go on, have a guess
A good reason why you should read that whole thread first. It makes mention of the root password issue within it at several points :)
