Hi,

One of my servers's primary drive has crashed.
I have a backup on drive 2, Data center has done a fresh install on a new drive.
How can I instantly restore all data from that backup drive ?

Please reply ... asap.

Thanks.

Be sure you have configured WHM/cPanel lake before, then use cpbackup option in WHM to restore accounts.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I told them to do so.
No Idea they will setup the same way or not ?
If they they not .. how can the data be restored.

Thanks.

Important thing is the second drive with backups to be mounted as /backup drive, so just be sure they will do this. Also check that Edit Setup / IPs and other stuff in WHM is set properly like before.

ankush

do you have the full backup of the data on your other backup drive?

what i mean is - is the backup includes the cpanel config files along with the data or its just the home directory backup?

if its a home directory backup then it would require lots of hardwork firt creating all the accounts and then copying the respective data and the files to the new home directory on the hard drive.

send me an email on [email protected] or add this id to your msn and i shall help you out with restoring the accounts.

regards
Parag

How can you be sure you set it up the same way?

It's been a long time since I last set mine up, plus I did a lot of alterations over the last year or two.

Server crashed, and now I need to restore what I can from the remaining data on the crashed drive.

I'm having a lot of issues, and I swear this is scaring me to death. :(
